HYDROGEN (H2)

Properties & Characteristic:
• Colourless, odourless and tasteless
• Lighter than air
• Highly flammable and burn with invisible flame

Purity: 99.99% – 99.999%
Deliver: High Pressure Cylinder, 16 cylinders/pallet, High pressure long tube

Application & Uses:
• An addition to argon in a range of argon-hydrogen shielding gases for TIG and plasma welding. Shielding gas mixture used for welding austenitic stainless steels and nickel alloys
• Chemical syntheses to produce ammonia and methanol, hydrogenation process for oils and fatty acids to produce margarine, shortenings, soaps, and etc
• Can be used for welding and cutting in certain brazing operation
• Used in the fuel cells generate electricity
• As a carrier gas in semiconductor processes for silicon deposition and crystal grow
• Diluted in Nitrogen as a forming gas can complete elimination of oxygen and its conveniences in medium to high temperature processes
• Used to form the rim of glasses in glass industry
• Used for desulfurization of fuel-oil and gasoline from crude oil in petroleum recovery and refinery

CAUTION: When using hydrogen, hoses used should be resisted to hydrogen permeation. Due to it highly combustible and can auto ignite either a low ignition energy, hydrogen cylinder must not be snifted. (open the valve momentarily to release small volume of gas to clean and clear dust from the valve neck. Hydrogen can be spontaneously ignite upon release and will burn with an invisible flame).
